SPLENDOUR FESTIVAL IN WOLLATON PARK...

You may have spotted our Ladies if you were at the Splendour Festival in Wollaton Park in August, a couple of weeks ago. Catherine and Elizabeth was there with 2 different hirers.

Our regular supporter Sue together with family and friends are pictured being dropped off at the venue armed with all their gear for a smashing day out.

Usual thanks to volunteer drivers Richard Baker and John Manchester. The weather was great too!

HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM UP AS VOLUNTEERS...

Let me introduce to the gallery our 'husband and wife team', Phil and Kate Asquith. If you belong to Ravenshead U3A you will recognise them as they are members themselves and often drive for the outings.

Perfect if you require 2 buses! They are also wearing our new corporate RCT hi-vis jackets - very smart indeed.

A TRIP TO MALLARD BREWERY, THEN LUNCH AT THE CROSS KEYS, UPTON...

 

Our local Ravenshead U3A Group took a trip to Mallard Brewery near Southwell recently followed by a lovely meal at the Cross Keys in Upton.

Our volunteer driver Colin Wild drove them there and back in our Lady Caroline with a couple of other RCT volunteers on board - Mike and Jackie Salmon

A NIGHT OUT WITH THE GIRLS FOR THE RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT...

Ladies Caroline and Catherine were hired by a group of local residents recently for an evening out together at Colwick and are pictured all ready to leave from The Hutt. Our usual thanks to volunteer drivers Dave Shardlow and David Cooper.

LOOKING DRESSED UP FOR A WEDDING...

This is a picture of 'Lady Catherine' from one of our fleet, dressed up for a wedding outside Newstead Abbey. You have to agree it looks great.

A DAY OUT AT TRENTHAM GARDENS FOR LADY ANNABELLA...

Our local PHAB group enjoyed a super day out at Trentham Gardens recently. Lady Annabella is pictured along with volunteer driver Mike Salmon and group organiser Patrick Kelly. Thanks to both guys for giving their time voluntarily to help the members get out and about.

ALL THREE LADY COACHES OFF TO A CHARITY BALL...

Our 3 lady coaches transported some local residents to a charity ball at the beginning of June being held at Goosedale, Papplewick. Our passengers are pictured on arrival at the venue. The event was a great success and many thanks to volunteer drivers Enid Thomas, David Cooper and Richard Baker. 

RAVENSHEAD SWING BAND AT RUFFORD MILL....

One of our newest affiliated groups - the Ravenshead Swing Band - hired Lady Caroline recently to transport themselves and their various instruments to Rufford Mill to play at an event. They are pictured at the mill with cases of all shapes and sizes! My thanks to volunteer driver David Cooper for giving up his evening to get them there and home again safely.

TRANSPORT TO FREEDOM...

The Project operates 3 x 15 seater wheelchair accessible mini coaches providing community transport for the inhabitants of  Ravenshead and the surrounding area.

 Many people are finding they are able to get out and about to friends, social events, meetings and appointments by using the Village Bus. It has a lift to help wheel chair users and those for whom steps are difficult.

• New weekly service on Mondays & Wednesdays from Ravenshead to Blidworth & Kirkby-in-Ashfield
• Tuesday & Thursday morning Ravenshead village routes
• Tuesday & Friday shopping specials
• Available for private hire
