Reference my previous post - a Day at the Races..here is another pickie of one of the other hirer's and his passengers that day all looking incredibly smart alongside Lady Elizabeth. Many thanks Richard..

BROWNIES TRIP TO ELTO CAMPSITE...

Our local Brownie pack had a super evening at Elton Campsite near Bingham recently.

They hired Ladies Caroline and Catherine and huge thanks to volunteer drivers Mike Salmon and new recruit Keith Jackson for transporting them there and back again safely. I hope you joined in with the camp fire songs!

A TRIP TO WILLERSLEY CASTLE NEAR MATLOCK FOR ABBEY GATES WI...

Our affiliated group Abbey Gates WI hired our Lady Caroline last week to visit Willersley Castle near Matlock.

Usual thanks to volunteer driver Keith Jackson for transporting these lovely ladies to and from the venue. I'm sure you all had a super day out.

MP MARK SPENCER WITH RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT NEW MINIBUS...

We have recently been successful in obtaining some funding from the Department for Transport which allowed us to replace Lady Annabella with Lady Elizabeth earlier this year.

We are extremely appreciative of this help from the Government and met up with local MP Mark Spencer recently to have some photographs taken 'showing off' our new minibus complete with D for T stickers.

RAVENSHEAD U3A TRIP TO THE JCB FACTORY...

Love this photo! Ravenshead U3A hired Ladies Caroline and Elizabeth yesterday to visit the JCB Factory at Rocester near Uttoxeter.

A wonderful day out and many thanks to volunteer drivers Mike Salmon (and his wife Jackie for organising it!) and Mike Whiston - our colours blend in nicely!

SOUTHWELL RACES TRIP FOR LOCALS...

A day out at the races! This is always popular and all 3 of our yellow ladies were at Southwell on Sunday with 3 different hirers!

A big thank you to volunteers David Cooper, Richard Baker and Keith Jackson who gave up their time to get these passengers to and from the venue. Here are a couple of photos to share with you - hope it was a lucky day for you all

RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT AVAILABLE FOR PRIVATE HIRE...

Remember our minibuses are available for private hire so if you are organizing a special night out give Karen a call on 01623 490888 to arrange safe transport to and from your venue.

Pictured are a couple of local residents who did just that. Huge thanks to all my volunteer drivers who give up their time for some of these 'late nighters'!

ANOTHER TRIP TO CHARITY BALL AT GOOSEDALE...

For the second time we provided transport for a Charity Ball at Goosedale near Papplewick which was organised by local resident Hayley.

All 3 of our Ladies were in service for the evening and huge thanks to volunteer drivers Richard Baker, John Manchester & Peter Russell. A late night guys - much appreciated by Hayley, the passengers and myself.

OUTDOOR SHAKESPEARE THEATRE TRIP NEAR STAMFORD...

I know this photo does not feature our yellow Ladies but we have done a couple of trips to the outdoor Shakespeare Theatre at Tolethorpe near Stamford recently and volunteer driver Glynne Payze has sent me this fab pickie which I thought I would share with you

HEALTH AND SAFETY TRUSTEE...

As well as being one of our volunteer drivers David is also our Health & Safety Trustee which is something that RCT take very seriously.

#OLD SCHOOL HOUSE RESTAURANT, CALVERTON VISIT...

Lady Caroline was out and about again last weekend. This time taking local resident (and fab supporter of RCT!) Sally out with some friends to the Old School House in Calverton for a lovely meal out.

Usual thanks to volunteer Richard Baker.

A TRIP TO #RUFFORD PONY CLUB...

Our Lady Caroline took 6 adults, 6 children and a heap of tombola prizes to the Rufford Pony Club annual presentation last Friday being held at Southwell Racecourse.

A fab evening was had by all and they came home with prizes, rosettes and trophies! A game of 'hunt the Daddies!' (they had been dropped off in Southwell earlier)topped the evening off!

Huge thanks to our "helpful and friendly" volunteer driver Richard Baker.

A TRIP TO #HODSOCK PRIORY FOR RAVENSHEAD U3A...

Hodsock Priory is always a favourite to see the snowdrops and Ravenshead U3A hired Ladies Annabella and Caroline at the weekend to take a group to visit.

Many thanks to volunteer drivers Enid Thomas and Alan Browne - a cold but dry day. Hope you had fun! Nice photo too Enid!

TRIP TO #CHATSWORTH GARDEN CENTRE...

Friends of Mark Wilson hired our Lady Catherine at the end of January to take a ride out into Derbyshire.

They called in at Chatsworth Garden Centre for a browse and a cuppa on the way home.

Usual thanks to volunteer driver Andrew Spence and his lovely wife Anick who spent the day with them. We look forward to the next trip Mark. — at Chatsworth Garden Centre.

NIGHT OUT WITH THE GIRLS ....

What better way to spend a cold Friday evening in February than a girly night out! Go one step further and make it a 'hen' girly night out which is exactly what some local ladies did last week to celebrate their friends forthcoming wedding.

Our ladies Caroline and Catherine transported these lovely ladies to their venue in Nottingham and don't they look FAB! Our thanks to volunteer drivers Andy Carter and John Manchester (a little noisy on the buses I would imagine!) and also our very best wishes to the bride to be!

A TRIP TO #OAKMERE PARK GOLD CLUB...

Our local school and affiliated group Blidworth Oaks Primary School took our Lady Annabella to Oakmere Park Golf Club in Oxton last weekend with some of the children.

Usual thanks to Phil Johnson who teaches at the school and is also one of our volunteer drivers. A couple of nice pickies too to mark the occasion! Thanks Phil.

FROM FOOTIE TO FUND RAISING...

From footie to fund raising! We helped out a local student recently who is currently in her third year of a Primary Education degree at Nottingham Trent University.

As part of the course she has to organize a "special placement" in a different setting so she and 3 colleagues have arranged 2 weeks teaching in Kenya in June of this year. They are really looking forward to this opportunity and hope to develop links that they can maintain throughout their teaching careers here in the UK.

They are fundraising to buy teaching equipment and resources that we take for granted to take with them and leave over in Kenya.

Our volunteer driver Richard Baker transported her and her family and friends to a night at the dogs in Colwick in our Lady Catherine. We wish you every success Heather in your Kenyan venture.

#NOTTINGHAM FOREST HERE WE COME...

There is no better way for a young lad to spend his birthday other than a trip to the footie with his mates!

That is exactly what one local resident's Mum organised recently and our new volunteer driver John Manchester did a great 'first drive' getting the chatty 8 year olds to and from Nottingham Forest football ground for a Saturday afternoon match.

Great photo too so thanks John!

A TRIP TO LONDON'S #SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE...

Our Lady Catherine safely transported some members from Ashfield U3A to the Globe Theatre in London again.

This trip was not to see a performance but to look at the history, get behind the scenes, see demonstrations of dress worn in Shakespeare's time, learn about the audiences of the time, sword fighting and how performances are planned.

One of the actors, Mike, was their guide and they also went out into the streets to see where the original Globe was situated (the current one is the third!) and then a privileged viewing of the Rose Theatre. What a fabulous day and huge thanks to volunteer driver Alan Browne who ably negotiated the streets of London once again! — at Shakespeare's Globe.
