As the sun is shining today I though I would share some photographs of one of our affiliated groups from Annesley enjoying a day on the Cromford Canal earlier this year.

RAVENSHEAD TRAVEL CLUB...

One of our affiliated groups, Ravenshead Travel Club are regular hirers of our yellow ladies and visit a variety of places of interest including stately homes, National Trust properties, garden centres and the coast.

They are pictured outside the entrance to the magnificent Powis Castle in Welshpool with organiser Mike Preston at the wheel.

RACE DAY FOR THE LADIES AT SOUTHWELL RACES...

Everyone loves a day at the races and this group of local ladies were certainly looking forward to their day out at Southwell Race Course.

FROM HEN NIGHT TO WEDDING DAY FOR OUR LOCAL HAIRDRESSER...

From hen night to wedding day!

Our local hairdresser Amanda hired our yellow ladies to celebrate an evening with her friends and then to transport her wedding guests from St Mary's Church in Blidworth to the reception at Il Rosso in Mansfield.

LADY CATHERINE'S RIDE TO DERBYSHIRE...

Abbey Gates WI hired Lady Catherine this week for a ramble in Derbyshire.

They walked from Middleton via Bradford Dale and are pictured as they were about to set off.

Thanks to Dave Thorley, our volunteer driver and also his wife Val who joined them for a lovely day out.

A TRIP TO DODDINGTON HALL IN LINCOLNSHIRE FOR LADY CATHERINE...

Our Lady Catherine transported some local U3A members to the lovely Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire recently.

A super day out and many thanks to our volunteer driver Mike Salmon and also his wife Jackie.

Many of our driver's wives also give their valuable time behind the scenes assisting passengers on and off our buses as well as being involved as Cornwater escorts and other RCT roles.

Jackie is also our Secretary and is pictured below.

We took a drive out to Chatsworth recently in Lady Catherine to visit the farm shop and garden centre. Our volunteer driver Richard Baker gave up his time to give the passengers a lovely day out in the beautiful Peak District.

A TRIP ON THE TRENT...

Our affiliated group Mansfield & Ashfield Carers hired Lady Annabella recently for a trip along the Trent from Colwick. Our usual thanks to Enid Thomas who accompanied them for the day. They are pictured with the bus under lovely blue skies. 

THE WHOLE RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT FLEET OUT FOR THE NIGHT...

Our entire fleet was hired recently for a local resident's 40th birthday celebrations being held at Kelham near Newark. Our volunteer drivers that evening were Andrew Spence, John O'Riordan and David Kirk. A couple of super atmospheric night time shots of our ladies outside the venue taken by Andrew.

LADY ANNABELLA AND THE GANG ON A TRIP TO WOLLATON PARK...

One of our local residents and a keen supporter of RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT hired Lady Annabella to go to an event at Wollaton Park recently. They are pictured alongside the bus and are clearly having a great day out. Our usual thanks to volunteer driver Enid Thomas.

DANCE COMPETITION FOR JOSEPH WHITAKER GIRLS...

Volunteer driver Dave Thorley and his wife Val safely transported six lovely ladies from Joseph Whitaker to take part in the final of a huge dance competition being held in Birmingham recently. 

They are pictured aboard Lady Caroline and although they weren't placed as the standard was so high they certainly performed extremely well so many congratulations girls.

A HUGE THANKS....

A huge 'Thank You' to all who voted for Ravenshead Community Transport in the recent Aviva Community Fund programme. 

Our final votes total was 2830 which is a great achievement and we are extremely appreciative of the support shown for Ravenshead Community Transport. 

We made it through to the final round but were 'pipped at the post' as they say! Next time perhaps! Many thanks again...

DEKOTA HOTEL MAY BALL...

One of our local residents and a regular supporter of RCT attended a May Ball recently at the Dakota Hotel together with a group of friends.

Richard Baker, one of our volunteer drivers, transported them there and home again safely in Lady Annabella.

They are pictured outside the hotel at the beginning of the evening ready to party!

A TRIP TO LONG SUTTON FOR THE ANNUAL FESTIVAL...

Our local affiliated group, All Saints Church in Annesley, hired Lady Annabella a few weeks ago and took a trip to Long Sutton in Lincolnshire for the Annual Festival at a local Church.
