WHAT RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT IS ALL ABOUT...

Ravenshead, Blidworth and other local Community Transport was founded in December 1996 with an aim to provide community transport for the residents of Ravenshead and other local communities within a 10-mile radius.

It is a registered charity and runs on funds, raised from fairs and hiring's plus various grants from charitable trusts, as well as Nottinghamshire County Council, The Big Lottery Fund, Ravenshead Parish Council and Coalfield Regeneration Trust.

The three minibuses are driven by a team of local volunteer drivers who transport local residents on day trips, to the local shops and supermarkets. The minibuses are also used for group and private hire.

The project operated 2427 journeys in 2014 an increase of 141 on 2013, with 19,399 Passengers Boardings in 2014,covering 41,420 miles. Following the increase in demand for our services the third bus was added to our fleet in September 2014.

Advertising space is available on the exterior of the vehicles of approximately 15' x 3" for local businesses to help support the buses which are there for the benefit of the communities and shows the businesses willing to support the community.

Please ring the hotline on Mansfield 01623 490888 for more information.
