A BUSY MONTH FOR THE RAVENSHEAD & BLIDWORTH COMMUNITY BUSES...
It’s been another busy month for our buses, as well as providing our usual village services, our volunteer drivers have been taking members of our community to a variety of different places.
The PHAB group recently went to Grantham on the Lady Caroline for a spot of retail therapy and coffee at the Downtown store. Volunteer driver, Mike Salmon, then drove the group to the "Muddle Go Nowhere" for a lovely lunch.
The Ravenshead Reds Football Team, enjoyed a Sunday Afternoon trip to the Concert Hall, driven by our Volunteer, Enid Thomas and a group of very happy ‘hens’ enjoyed a night at a Greek restaurant in Arnold, celebrating their friends forthcoming wedding. Our thanks to Volunteer driver, Richard Baker for getting them there and back safely.
The village bus service continues to run to the precinct every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am —12:00 pm. The bus also passes the Doctors surgery every half an hour so if you have an appointment please remember we can easily get you there and back. Every Monday and Wednesday the bus follows a route around the village taking passengers to the precinct and also Kirkby and Blidworth; if you do not already have a timetable, please pick one up from the Health Centre, Library or the Post Office.
