BROWNIES TRIP TO ELTO CAMPSITE...

Our local Brownie pack had a super evening at Elton Campsite near Bingham recently.

They hired Ladies Caroline and Catherine and huge thanks to volunteer drivers Mike Salmon and new recruit Keith Jackson for transporting them there and back again safely. I hope you joined in with the camp fire songs!

RAVENSHEAD U3A TRIP TO THE JCB FACTORY...

SOUTHWELL RACES TRIP FOR LOCALS...

A day out at the races! This is always popular and all 3 of our yellow ladies were at Southwell on Sunday with 3 different hirers!

COAST TO COAST CYCLE RIDE FOR A LOCAL RESIDENT...

Another first for RCT! A local resident and some pals have taken part in a 'coast to coast' cycle ride this weekend.

The 'Coast Busters' started off in Seascale, Cumbria and spent Saturday cycling approx 150 miles over to Whitby.

Our Lady Catherine took the guys up there and back again and massive thanks to volunteer driver Andrew Spence who spent his weekend being their chauffeur.

Congratulations too to Will and the rest of the 'team' - a great achievement. Well done

A DAY TO VISIT TRENT BRIDGE CRICKET FOR LOCAL PUPILS...

We collected some pupils that attend Blidworth Oaks Primary School from Trent Bridge this week and many thanks to volunteer driver Andrew Spence for stepping in at relatively short notice to go and pick them up.

A JUNE VISIT TO THE JAPANESE GARDENS NEAR NEWARK FOR LOCAL GROUP...

As we come into summer our gardens are looking lovely.

One of our local affiliated groups hired our Lady Caroline a couple of weeks ago to visit the beautiful Japanese Gardens near Newark and had a wonderful day out.

A TENTH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT THE PIZZA EXPRESS....

Lady Caroline helped a young resident celebrate her 10th birthday with her friends recently. They visited the Pizza Express at McArthur Glen, East Midlands Designer Outlet.

A TRIP TO THE MUSEUM IN ALSTONEFIELD FOLLOWED BY AFTERNOON TEA IN ASHBOURNE...

Our Ladies Caroline and Elizabeth took our Woodborough ladies out last week to visit Alstonefield Costume Museum and have afternoon tea in Ashbourne.

What a smashing day and usual thanks to volunteers David Kirk and Enid Thomas for driving them.

A VISIT TO THE GLAZE PLACE IN MANSFIELD...

All our Ladies have a passenger lift at the rear of the bus which will allow wheelchair access as well as making it easier for those passengers who cannot manage the steps.

Our Lady Catherine took some residents from Hatzfeld House into Mansfield last Friday to visit the pottery studio - The Glazey Place.

Wonderful and many thanks to David Cooper, our volunteer driver, who gave up his time to get them there and back again safely.

A TRIP TO HAMPSHIRE WITH THE RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT...

Our Ladies Catherine and Elizabeth are outside the Bat and Ball in Hambledon. Hambledon Cricket Club (the Cradle of Cricket founded in 1750) sits behind this watering hole and is still a thriving Club today.

RAVENSHEAD SCHOOL OF DANCE TRIP TO WALSALL DANCE SEMINAR...

From Girl Guides to dancers! Last month Ravenshead School of Dance took Lady Catherine to Walsall to take part in an ITDA free style seminar.

THE 2ND HUCKNALL GUIDES GO TO NEWARK SHOWGROUND...

The 2nd Hucknall Guides hired our Lady Caroline last month for an event taking place at Newark Showground.

RAVENSHEAD COMMUNITY TRANSPORT TO SOUTHAMPTON FOR CRUISE SHIP...

Our Ladies have been so busy over the last few days and I have lots of photos to share with you. Lets start with our first RCT journey down to Southampton to pick up the cruise ship Ventura.

A super trip down to drop off some local residents in Ladies Catherine and Elizabeth and huge thanks to volunteer drivers David Cooper and Andrew Spence. Also to David Kirk who will be joining Andrew to collect them next week. Thank you to Anick Spence too who has taken some of these fabulous photos at the cruise terminal.

RAVENSHEAD & BLIDWORTH ROTARY CLUB GIVEN #'CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD 2016'...

Great news to share with you! Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary Club have presented their 'Citizen of the Year Award 2016' to our team of volunteer drivers.

This is a marvelous acknowledgement of the time all our volunteers give to this valuable community asset and I am sure you will all join me in congratulating them.

Four of our longest serving drivers attended the Award presentation evening recently at Oakmere Golf Club. Dr Raj Chandran, President of the Rotary Club, presented the award to Ian Crowe, Ian Shields, Dave Antill and Allan Rogers alongside our newest minibus - Lady Elizabeth - in the gorgeous evening sunshine.

HEN PARTY IN NOTTINGHAM FOR LOCAL RAVENSHEAD GIRLS...

Girls, girls, girls! Our local resident Neelam hired our Lady Elizabeth to take her and all her girlfriends into Nottingham to celebrate her hen night.

They all look amazing and as these photos were taken on the way into town it likes you were going to have a fab night!
